Winter Crock Pot Red Wine Hot Chocolate

Hey friends! So excited for this blog! I teamed up with some other bloggers to bring you all things winter! Be sure to scroll to the bottom to check out what everyone else is sharing.

I am sharing a new recipe for me, Crock Pot Red Wine Hot Chocolate. Obviously, this is for adults only 😄

Can we talk about how EASY this recipe is? Literally, just throw everything on the crock pot for an hour and WALK AWAY! When you come back, I promise, you will have a delicious winter drink! So perfect for all of those cold winter nights and a little different than other drinks I have tried. Definitely a great drink to have for holiday gatherings that the adults will enjoy.

What did I use?

Just a few ingredients went into this. You can use ANY red wine of your picking. I do recommend NOT using anything sweet, that would really throw the flavors off. The rest of the stuff, I had in my cupboards – coconut sugar, cinnamon (ground, not sticks), semi sweet chocolate morsels, milk, and unsweetened cocoa powder. That is it! AND you can substitute using dairy free items like almond milk. You can even use regular sugar or stevia.

Now What

Like I said, just throw it all in the crock pot, mix out clumps and walk away! I threw mine on low and let it sit for an hour. The great thing is, once the chocolate chips are melted, you can keep it on warm.

That is it, friends! Now drink and enjoy! I garnished mine with snowman marshmallows and enjoyed it by the fire with Hallmark Christmas movies. Suck a holiday win!
